Welcome to the Monarch family! Please review the information below in regards to our studio rules, policies and financial information. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

Class fees are due on the first of each month.

  • A $15 late fee will be applied to accounts not paid by the 5th of the month.

  • Tuition may be paid by the following methods: cash, money order, check, or credit card (We accept MasterCard, Visa, and Discover).

  • Checks should be made payable to Monarch. Please also include your child’s full name in the memo. There is a $40.00 returned check fee, per check, on all returned checks.

  • Tuition remains the same regardless of absences and whether it is a long, five- week month or a short, three-week month.

  • Tuition is per month – not per class!

A 20% sibling discount is available to any parent who has two or more students enrolled. The discount is taken off of the monthly tuition of the additional children.

Referral Program is available to any family who refers a new student to Monarch. That new student must enroll in a class and attend for at least one full month. The Referral Program will give you $15.00 off of your next month’s tuition.

When dropping or adding a class at any time during the year, notification must be given in writing. Not showing up for classes, does not constitute a withdrawal from class. Accounts will continue to be charged for tuition until notification of withdraw is given.

  •  Students should be dressed and prepared for class before it starts.

  • No food or drinks of any kind are allowed in the dance studio rooms. Lobby and back area are okay to have food and drinks.

  • Parents should not leave young students unattended in the waiting area before or after class.

  • Chewing gum is never allowed in the dance studios.

  • Running, grabbing, chasing, or any physical horseplay is not allowed in the hallways at Monarch.

  • Students and guests will be expected to remain respectful of the other families and students on the premises, as well as the facility itself.

  • No picking up or carrying younger students unless it is your child.

  • No pictures or videoing allowed during class time unless permission is given by instructor.

  • Always treat your teacher and fellow classmates with respect

  • Three warnings will be given for misconduct...after that a private conference and possible probation or even dismissal from the studio may occur.

Dance class is not for wasting time (talking in line or not paying attention.) Students will get 3 warnings then upon the 4th warning they will be sent out of class for a “break”. This allows the teacher to get back to class and focus on the students that are ready to learn while allowing the student a chance to reflect on their choices and behavior. This rule applies to all students and levels. If a student is having issues on a regular basis a parent meeting will be set up to determine if additional action is required. In extreme cases this could lead to dismissal from the team or even the conservatory.

We do not discriminate against race, religious affiliation, sexual identity, and/or children or families with special needs. We have a zero tolerance policy for comments or behavior, whether in person or online through social media, singling out or making fun of students, families or groups of people. No matter the context it will be taken as a negative comment and will be the first strike in three strike process. Upon the third offense the student or family will be asked to kindly relocate to a different educational facility.

We will follow the Blue Springs School District with most of its Holiday Scheduling and Closings but there will be exceptions and variations. We will always post holiday and break schedules in advance for our families. The studio will not necessarily close for snow days, regardless if area schools are closed. If in doubt call the studio before coming to class on the given day for a recorded message. You also may look to your email or our social media pages for cancellations.
