We focus on developing movement skills in a fun atmosphere in our classes for our students with intellectual, physical and cognitive disabilities. Basic concepts like stop-go, fast-slow, high-low, and big-small are emphasized. The focus of the class is for students to experience movement and activity in a positive manner with lively music, games, props, rhymes, and more. Traditional dance technique is not emphasized in this class, but rather body awareness, the joy of physical activity, and the connection of body and mind.
Toddlers and Tutus
This class is designed for our youngest dancers. Students will have fun learning balance and rhythm to popular children's music through singing and movement games. Props such as pom poms, hula hoops, and bean bags are used to enhance the learning experience. Class sizes are kept very small to assure plenty of individual attention for our tiny dancers.
mini combo Combo
This class is designed for our dancers who want to express their independence without the assistance of mom or dad. They will have a blast in this tap and ballet combo where they will learn basic steps, terminology and proper arm placements in a fun and safe learning environment.
Dancers will enjoy this interactive class that builds on basic movements. This class includes an introduction to proper warm-ups and stretches for the body. The Tap portion of the class will concentrate on building confidence through mastering patterns and steps. The Ballet portion of class includes an introduction to the ballet barre, beginning ballet technique and terminology.
Based on fundamentals, our Modern program stresses technique for all levels of classes. Monarch implements the techniques passed down from the great modern teachers, including new and contemporary styles. Dancers should expect Barre and floor work in class, allowing them to connect with a new physical alignment with their bodies in a revered form of artistic expression.
Monarch's lyrical program starts with the technique of ballet and combines this with jazz and contemporary movements to tell a story, connecting to an emotion or a deeper idea. Barre and floor work are included in this curriculum. All dancers are required to have a level of ballet skill to allow them to grow artistically and emotionally. Dancers must be enrolled in a Ballet class to take Lyrical.
Ballet Level Petite
This is our introductory to Ballet class where our younger students will learn classical ballet techniques and terminology. Each class includes barre exercises, center floor work, and across-the-floor combinations.
Ballet Level 1 & 2
This class is for beginner to intermediate ballet students. Students will learn classical ballet techniques and terminology. Proper stretching, conditioning, and strengthening of the dancer’s muscles will be taught. Each class includes barre exercises, center floor work, and across-the-floor combinations.
Ballet Level 2-3 & 4/5
Barre work becomes more complex as we continue to add musicality, accuracy and strength into the combinations. Ballet vocabulary continues to be reinforced, along with the execution and advancing of proper technique. Stretching, Conditioning, and Strengthening of the dancer’s muscles will continue and students will incorporate more use of the upper body.
Ballet Pre Pointe

This is a teacher recommendation class. If you are in this class you must also be enrolled in Ballet 102. Students are required to have proper spine alignment, ankle strength, proper foot-pointing technique, ability to hold turn-out from the hips, a well-elevated releve on demi pointe with straight knees, and correct distribution of body
Tap Level Petite
This is our introductory to Tap class where our younger students can learn more advanced Tap skills. Each class includes center floor work, and across-the-floor combinations. The curriculum will become more complex as the students advance.
Tap Level 1 & 2
This beginner Tap class is great for anyone just starting out or a student who just like to take the class for recreation and fun. Our technique based training of tap will give any student a great foundation and awareness of the dance and its origins.
Tap Level 2-3
Designed for students who have had one to two years of Tap classes. Our technique based training of tap dance ranges from its classical, traditional origin to it's present, more rhythmic, hip hop and improvisational forms. We encourage the students to improve and have fun as well.
Tap Level 4/5
This class is usually recommended for students with at least 3 to 4 years of Tap experience. We focus on a variety of classical, traditional, rhythmic, hip hop and improvisational forms. Students are encouraged, as they solidify their technique, to step outside their comfort zones to explore improvisational sounds and syncopation, and have fun.
Jazz Level Petite
This is our introductory to Jazz class where our younger students can learn more advanced Jazz skills. Each class includes center floor work, and across-the-floor combinations. The curriculum will become more complex as the students advance.
Jazz Level 1
This Class is wonderful for students who are just getting started in the world of dance and want to try out a fun high energy class. It is also great for existing students who just like taking classes for fun and recreation. Jazz is a fundamental part of dancing and we highly recommend trying it out! Our students work on flexibility, turning, leaps, arm and hand positioning and core strengthening all while having fun in this class.
Jazz Level 2
This Class is recommended for students who have had at least one to two years of Jazz classes previously. Our jazz dance curriculum incorporates many variations, styles and eras of dance and is a fundamental part of our training. This affords our students the unique opportunity to work on connecting to different styles of music, flexibility, other styles of turning, leaps, isolation, arm and hand positioning and core strengthening.

Hip Hop Level Petite
This is our introductory to Hip Hop class where our younger students can learn more advanced Hip Hop skills. Each class includes center floor work, and combinations. The curriculum will become more complex as the students advance.
Hip Hop Level 1 & 2
This Class is one of our most popular classes who just want to take a high energy, fun, recreational class. Hip Hop is a great way to show off your individual style and learn some great core fundamentals of dance as well. Our students work on flexibility , core strength, as well as various techniques from multiple genres and styles.
Hip Hop Level 2-3
This course is recommended for students who have had at least one to two years of Hip-Hop classes. Students are introduced into the basics of this fun, individualistic high energy form of dance. Students will be working on flexibility, core strength, as well as various techniques from multiple genres and styles.
Hip Hop Level 4/5
This class is recommended for students with at least 3 to 4 years of Hip Hop classes. Our advanced course encourages crumping, animation, isolation, and leaps in a different form of self expression. Popping, locking, and other techniques are studied, connecting them to a new and deeper form of attitude and rhythmic connection for performance.
Basic Acro skills and safe stretching techniques taught in a fun and creative way for our littlest dancers. Helping them learn balance and muscle control while keeping it in an age appropriate and safe environment.
Learn the basics or work on advancing your skills in this flexible Acro class! Acro is not the typical tumbling or gymnastics class. Our certified acro instructor will guide the class towards increased flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, discipline and concentration. This class will focus on fundamental acrobatic technique, teaching such skills as handstands, chin stands, elbow stands, cartwheels, back bends, walkovers, balance and contortion tricks, all based on each student's individual level of experience.
